I saw the section on territorial pioneers, and I can add the following:
Aslack Olavson Lien, his wife and children came to Deerfield Twp, Dane County
in 1842 from the Lien farm.
Kristi Olavsdtr Aslackson and her 4 children were in Deerfield Twp, Dane County in 1846 from the Graver farm in Fyresdal
Then Kristi, daughter Aase, sons Tarje and Ole, now using last name Grover, moved to Houston County in 1853.
Daughter Tone and her husband Ole Lee (also from Fyresdal, actually
her first cousin - gasp) settled in Mitchell County, Iowa in 1853.
Thor Hegland, born in Mo, settled in North Dakota in 1881 and became a naturalized
citizen in Grand Forks County in 1882. He is listed on the 1885 ND Census in
Rolette County.
