His classic book, Emigration from The Community of Tinn, 1837-190,
contains demographic, economic, and social background. It was translated by
C.A. Clausen for Norwegian-American Studies, vol. 29 (1983): pp. 43-88.
This is a very important book for those of with ancestors from Tinn, Telemark. He lists the emigrants, and their parents, for the years 1837-1850. The Norwegian title is "Tinns Emigrasjons Historie 1837-1907".
