Mons Hokanson, b. 2 Feb 1828, emigrated from Sweden 1852. Came
to Scandian Grove about 1856. Was brother-in-law of Nels Chilgren. Volunteered
to haul supplies to Fort Ridgley during Indian uprising. Was a shoemaker in
St Peter factory. d. 20 Apr 1917.
