Svenung Johnson Tyttegraf; (1) - Sailed on the TUSKINA, arrived in New York from Havre, Aug. 19, 1842, Alfred G. Spencer, captain. Svennung Johnsen Tytegraf, son of Jon Talleivsen Sandland and Margit Tovsdatter, bp. in Kviteseig, 17th Sunday after Trinity, 1793. Emigrated to the Muskego settlement, Wis., where he died before 1854. Married June 30, 1826 to Turi Johannesdatter Skare, dau. of Johannes Guttormsson Skare and Gunnhild Bjørnsdatter Gotuholt, born Dec. 25, 1808. She moved in 1854 to Springfield Tp., Jackson Co., Wis. 6 children: Margit, Oct 29, 1828; Johannes, May 11, 1832; Gunild, June 16, 1834; Maren, April 16, 1836; Birgit, March 28, 1839; Jon, 1842, perhaps on board ship. p. 160, #470-477.
