Torstein was born at farm Bakhus.  Torstein’s parents were Østein Nielsen Tveito / Bakhus / Bøen and Aase Torsteinsdatter Vemork.  Kari’s parents were Østein Gunnulfsen Bøen and Aasne Johnsdatter Ingolvsland.  Torstein was in the Scandinavian Guard of Nicollet County during the Indian War of 1862.  He was a signer of the Muskego Manifesto while at Muskego.  Tosten was my g-g-uncle.
