My wife’s father family tree goes through Telemark, the kommune
of
Vinje. Aslak Knutson Lee came to America in 1861, settling first in
Wisconsin before migrating to Blooming Grove Township in Waseca County.
I know this seems like an isolated story but I have also found a long
list of other settlers from the same area. Here are some of the names
I have found.

I got most of these names from church records of the North Waseca
Lutheran Church. Seven of the above were among the founders of that
church which is still in existence today.
